Aja Hruska was the first scientist in Canada to forecast the daily changes in the Earth’s magnetic field related to the Sun’s activity. Her work gained acceptance when she successfully predicted the geomagnetic storm in 1989 which had large negative effects on electric infrastructure and other components of modern technology.community.
