Healey Akearok founded the Qaujigiartiit Health Research Centre to leverage the knowledge and strengths of Canadian northern communities. The Centre supports Nunavummiut to embrace all forms of scientific knowledge – and in particular to harness Inuit science, knowledge, and teaching – to address health and climate challenges in the Arctic.
